Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt / தயிர்
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 cup Fenugreek leaves, Fresh / வெந்தயக் கீரை - chopped
  • 1 cup Fenugreek leaves, Dry / வெந்தய இலை, உலர்ந்தது - if fresh Methi leaves not available
  • 2 tbsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 2 tsp Sesame seed, White / எள்ளு, வெள்ளை
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder / சீரகத் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice / எலுமிச்சை சாறு
  • 1 tbsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
  • 1 tbsp Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - paste

for Garnishing

  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
  • 1 tbsp Coconut / தேங்காய் - grated

Instructions
 

  • Mix besan, baking soda, methi leaves/kasur methi, sugar, salt, oil, white sesame seeds, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, ginger paste, green chili paste well
  • Let it rest for 20min
  • Add yogurt little by little to make a soft dough
  • Roll them into sausage like rolls. [Note: grease your palm while rolling to avoid stickiness]
  • Deep fry them until golden brown
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and coconut
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup
