Ingredients
  

  • 200 gm Onion, Small / வெங்காயம், சிறியது - peeled
  • 2 cup Basmati Rice / பாசுமதி அரிசி - soaked for 20min n drained
  • 2 cup Coconut Milk / தேங்காய்ப் பால்
  • 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
  • 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - long slit
  • 1 nos Bay leaf, Dry
  • 2 nos Cloves / லவங்கம்
  • 2 nos Cardamom, Green / ஏலக்காய்
  • ½ tsp Fennel seed / சோம்பு
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper / மிளகு
  • 50 gm Butter / வெண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி

Instructions
 

  • Heat butter in a pan
  • Add onion sauté well until onions are translucent
  • Add ginger garlic paste, sauté well
  • Add green chili, bay leaf, clove, green cardamom, fennel seeds, black pepper, fry well
  • Add rice and fry well until colour changes
  • Add coconut milk, salt, mix well
  • You may open cook or pressure cook
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
