Pumpkin Blossom Bajji
Ingredients
- 20 nos Pumpkin Blossoms - cut the stem and cleaned well
- ½ cup Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
- 2 tbsp Rice flour / அசிரி மாவு
- 1 tbsp Corn flour
- ½ tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு
- 1 tsp Ajwain seed
- 250 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - for frying
- 10 nos Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை - fried in oil
Instructions
- Mix besan, rice flour, corn flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt, ajwain along with 50~75ml of water with out any lumps
- Coat pumpkin blossoms well in the above batter
- Heat oil in a pan
- Dump the pumpkin blossoms carefully in oil
- Fry them in low~medium heat until golden brown
- Garnish with fried curry leaves
- Serve hot
