Broad Beans Fry Curry
Ingredients
- 500 gm Broad beans / அவரைக் காய் - finely chopped
- 10 tbsp Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
- 2 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
- 1 tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
- 3 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan
- Temper mustard in it and allow it to splutter
- Add urad dhal, chana dhal, curry leaves and fry well
- Add turmeric powder, broad beans little by little, salt, red chili powder and mix well
- Close the lid and allow it to cook till tender, sprinkle very little water if required
- Add besan flour little by little and mix well, few lumps will be formed due to heat, don’t worry it can be rectified
- Once besan is fully mixed, sprinkle little more water and mix well now the lumps will break and bind together
- If you wish to roast the curry, add little more oil, simmer the flame and allow it for 3~5min
- Serve hot with any rice item
