Chili Baby Corn Gravy
Ingredients
- 250 gm Baby Corn - sliced vertically
- ¼ cup All Purpose flour
- ¼ cup Corn Starch
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 3 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
for Sauce
- 1 tsp Bell Pepper / குடை மிளகாய் - finely chopped
- ¼ cup Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
- ¼ cup Spring Onion - finely chopped
- 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - slit vertically
- 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - finely chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - finely chopped
- 2 cup Vegetable Broth
- 1 tbsp Celery - finely chopped
- 1½ tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Corn Starch - dissolved in water
- ½ tsp Vinegar
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- ½ tsp Black Pepper / மிளகு - powdered
- 1 tsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Prepare batter by mixing corn starch, all purpose flour, salt, pepper, keep aside
- Heat oil in a pan
- Dip baby corn in batter and pan fry well until golden brown, keep aside
for Sauce
- Add oil in the same pan and heat
- Add onion, spring onion and sauté well
- Add green chili and stir fry
- Add bell pepper, celery and stir fry
- Reduce flame
- Add soy sauce and stir well
- Add vegetable broth, sugar, salt, black pepper powder and stir fry
- Increase the flame and bring to a quick boil
- Reduce flame
- Add dissolved corn starch little by little and mix well until it gets thickened
- Add baby corn and toss well until sauce mixes well
- Add vinegar and mix well
- Garnish with green spring onion
- Serve hot
