Chili Paneer Kofta Curry
Ingredients
- 200 gm Paneer
- 4 – 6 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - finely chopped
- 2 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
- 3 – 4 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - blend to fine puree
- 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - finely chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - finely chopped
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
- 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
- 25 gm Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு
- ¼ tsp Garam Masala powder
- 75 ml Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 4 tsp Corn flour
- ¼ tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 tsp Black Pepper powder / மிளகுத்தூள்
Instructions
- Take the paneer into a bowl and press with your fingers until it is smooth
- Add corn flour, baking powder, pepper powder, chopped green chilies, cashews, little garam masala, salt and mix well
- Make small balls from this mixture and fry in hot oil until golden brown, keep them aside
- Heat 3-4 tbsp of oil in another pan
- Fry the chopped onions until golden
- Add ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder and fry for few more minutes
- Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates
- Add 1 cup of water, remaining garam masala, salt and cook until the gravy thickens
- Add the above prepared koftas to the gravy
- Serve hot
