Doodh Peda
Ingredients
- 1 ltr Milk / பால் - high fat
- ¼ cup Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
- ½ cup Milk powder
- 2 tsp Ghee / நெய்
- 10 strands Saffron / குங்குமப் பூ
Instructions
- Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan
- Simmer the flame and continue boiling until reduces to half in volume, keep stirring continuously
- Add sugar, saffron strands, keep stirring continuously until the mix solidifies
- Add milk powder little by little and mix well
- Switch off the flame
- Add ghee and mix well
- Allow it to cool
- When it is lukewarm, knead it well and make pedas
