Kashmiri Dum Aloo
Ingredients
- 500 gm Potato, Small
- 3 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - chopped
- 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili powder
- 2½ tsp Garam Masala powder
- 2 tsp Ginger powder, Dry / சுக்குப் பொடி - powdered
- 1 tsp Fennel seed / சோம்பு - powdered
- 2 nos Cardamom, Green / ஏலக்காய்
- 3 tbsp Curd / தயிர்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
Instructions
- Cut the potato into half, if required
- Deep fry the potatoes, prick them with a toothpick and keep aside
- Grind onion into a fine paste
- Mix all the dry powders in a bowl
- Add enough water to the bowl to make a paste
- Heat 2tbsp of oil in a pan
- Add the cardamom
- Pour in the paste, onion paste and stir for about 4~5 minutes
- Add the potatoes and mix well
- Add and mix in the curd
- Cover and cook for five minutes
- Serve hot with rice
