Kashmiri Methi Chaman
Ingredients
- 3 bunch Fenugreek leaves, Fresh / வெந்தயக் கீரை
- 3 bunch Spinach leaves / பசலைக்கீரை
- ½ cup Paneer - sliced
- 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
- 3 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - crushed
- 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- 1 tbsp Cream
- ½ tbsp Butter, salted / வெண்ணெய் உப்பிட்டது
- ¼ tbsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
- ¼ tbsp Garlic / பூண்டு - paste
- ½ tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
- ½ tsp Garam Masala powder
- ¼ tsp Ginger powder, Dry / சுக்குப் பொடி
- ¼ tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- ¼ tsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
- ½ tbsp Mustard oil / கடுகு எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
Instructions
- 1.Wash and boil the methi leaves until for 5-6 minutes.
- 2.Drain the water and grind the methi leaves with palak into course paste.
- 3.In pan heat oil, add the garam masala, cumin seeds, onion and saute until the onions are golden brown color.
- 4.Add the garlic,turmeric powder, butter, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies, saute for 30-40 seconds.
- 5.Add the salt, ground methi paste, sugar and mix well.
- 6.Add the coriander powder, ginger powder and simmer cook for 3-4 minutes over low flame until oil oozes out.
- 9.Add half cup of water,cream and mix well.
- 10.Add the paneer and cook for 3-4 minutes until cooked.
- 11.Garnish with the coriander leaves and serve with pulka.
