Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Little Millet
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 4 tbsp Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - diced
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • 2 tbsp Green Peas, Fresh / பச்சைப் பட்டாணி
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Wash and clean little millet well
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Temper mustard, uard dhal, channa dhal, curry leaves and fry well
  • Add green chili, green peas, salt, coconut, coriander and saute well
  • Add 4 cups of water and bring to boil
  • When water boils add little millet and stir well
  • Simmer the flame to medium and cook well by closing the pan
  • Add little more oil and allow the upma to roast at the bottom, if required
  • Serve hot along with coconut/coriander chutney
