Rösti
Rösti or rööschti (Alemannic German: [ˈrøːʃti]) is a Swiss dish consisting mainly of potatoes, in the style of a fritter. It was originally a breakfast dish, commonly eaten by farmers in the canton of Bern, but is now eaten all over Switzerland and around the world.

Ingredients
- 4 nos Potato / உருளைக் கிழங்கு - boiled, peeled n grated
- 50 gm Gruyère Cheese - grated (Optional)
- 50 gm Butter / வெண்ணெய்
- 1 tbsp Olive oil / ஆலிவ் எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a heavy bottomed pan
- Add potato, salt, mix and level it well
- Cook in medium flame for 10~15min until the bottom of the rösti well roasted
- Now cover with a lid and turn the pan upside down gently so that rösti can be reversed
- Continue to cook in medium flame for 10~15min until the bottom of rösti well roasted
- Top the rösti with gruyère cheese and bake it in 200°C pre-heated oven for 5min
- Cut into slices
