Ingredients
  

  • 4 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - finely chopped
  • 1 lemon size Tamarind extract / புளிக் கரைசல்
  • 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
  • 1 cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 2 tbsp Jaggery / வெல்லம் - grated
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 2 tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Temper mustard, curry leaves in it and allow it to crackle
  • Add turmeric powder, tomato, salt and cook well
  • Meanwhile grind tamarind, green chili, coconut into a fine paste, add as minimum water as possible
  • Add ground paste to cooked tomato, mix well and allow to boil, add little water if required
  • When boils add jaggery, mix and allow to boil for 5min
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with hot rice
