Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Kashmiri Haak - Spinach
  • 4 tbsp Mustard oil / கடுகு எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - chopped
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 6 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
  • 3 nos Cardamom, Brown / ஏலக்காய்
  • ½ tsp Ginger powder, Dry / சுக்குப் பொடி - powdered
  • 1 tsp Fennel seed / சோம்பு
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • cup Water / தண்ணீர்

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil to smoking point in a vessel
  • Add garlic, asafoetida, red chili, cardamom and mix well
  • Add dry ginger powder, fennel seeds, salt and mix well
  • Add haak, mix well and cook until it reduces in quantity
  • Pour water, cover and cook for 10~15min
  • Serve hot with rice
