Kashmiri Tamatar Chaman
Ingredients
- 500 gm Paneer - cubes
- 4 nos Tomato / தக்காளி
- 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
- 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - paste
- 2 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1½ tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
- ½ tsp Fenugreek leaves, Dry / வெந்தய இலை, உலர்ந்தது
- ½ tsp Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு - paste
- 50 gm Butter / வெண்ணெய்
- 40 gm Cream
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 25 ml Mustard oil / கடுகு எண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Boil tomatoes with water in a vessel
- When the tomatoes are cooked, strain the water
- Peel skin of tomato, puree and set aside
- Heat oil in a frying pan
- Add tomato puree, ginger garlic paste, garam masala and cook for a few minutes
- Add chili powder, salt, kasur methi leaves, cashew nut paste, butter, cream and stir on a medium till the contents thicken
- Add paneer and cook for a few minutes
- Serve hot with rotis
