Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Cloves / லவங்கம்
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 250 gm Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 200 ml Water / தண்ணீர்
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 2 tsp Jaggery / வெல்லம்
  • 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - vertically slit
  • 4 tbsp Peanut / வேர்க் கடலை - crushed

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds followed by asafoetida and onions, stir until onions turn golden
  • Add green chili, turmeric powder, chili powder, cumin powder and coriander powder one by one
  • Stir until the masala is cooked and oil starts oozing out of the masala
  • Add cluster beans to the pan followed by salt
  • Add water, continue stirring and allow it to cook for 10min
  • Add garam masala, jaggery
  • Add crushed peanut powder
