Palak Methi Curry
Ingredients
- 1 bunch Spinach leaves / பசலைக்கீரை
- ½ cup Masoor Dhal - cooked
- 3 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- 3 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
- 3 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala powder
- ½ cup Fenugreek leaves, Dry / வெந்தய இலை, உலர்ந்தது
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 3 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
- 2 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
Instructions
- Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan
- Add 2 onions and cook till transparent
- Add 2 tomatoes cook until mushy
- Add green chili, spinach and cook for 5mins in low flame
- Allow it cool, then blend it to a fine paste, keep aside
- Heat rest of 1tbsp of oil
- Add rest of onion, cook till slightly brown
- Add rest of tomato, cook it for 4~5mins in medium flame
- Add the paste, masoor dhal, kasuri methi, salt cook for 2 mins
- Add garam masala powder and cook for 2~3mins
- Temper fenugreek in rest of oil
- Add dry red chili and fry
- Pour over the curry
- Serve hot with rice or roti
