Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Maida - all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Wheat Rava
  • ½ cup Yogurt / தயிர்
  • 2 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 2 tsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
  • ½ tsp Yeast
  • 1 cup Water / தண்ணீர்
  • 500 ml Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Add sugar to warm water (25ml)
  • Add yeast to the above and keep it aside for about 10min
  • Add maida, salt into a big bowl and mix well
  • Add 2tbsp of oil little by little and mix well
  • Add yeast and sugar mix
  • Add yoghurt and water little by litte and knead the dough for about 5~10min until its smooth and elastic
  • Sprinkle little oil and coat the dough
  • Cover it will a damp cloth and let it raise for about 90~120min
  • Heat oil in a frying pan for frying
  • Knead the dough again to that the hard coating, if formed, will vanish
  • Divide the dough into equal parts (for 2 cups we should get about 8~10 balls)
  • Slightly coat rolling surface with little oil and roll the dough into 6inch circle
  • Slide bhatura into hot oil
  • Gently press down with a frying laddle for about 30sec so that the bhatura will puff up
  • Repeat the same for remaining balls
  • Serve hot with Punjabi Chole
