Burmese Khow Suey
Ingredients
- 400 gm Noodles
- ¼ cup Cabbage / முட்டை கோஸ் - shredded
- ¼ cup Carrot / காரெட் - long and thinly sliced n streamed
- ¼ cup French Beans, Fresh - chopped n steamed
- ½ cup Spring Onion - chopped
- ½ cup Tomato / தக்காளி - chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - minced
- 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - minced
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper / மிளகு - powdered
- 400 ml Coconut Milk / தேங்காய்ப் பால்
- ½ cup Yogurt / தயிர்
- 2 tbsp Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Cumin powder / சீரகத் தூள்
- 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 buncha Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
- 2 nos Lemon / எலுமிச்சம் பழம் - juice
Instructions
- Cook noodles until soft along with 1tsp of oil, salt and 2ltr of water
- Drain and keep aside
- Take little cooked noodle and pat dry it
- Deep fry it in oil, keep aside
- Mix coconut milkj, 2cups of water, yoghurt, besan and whisk until besan dissolves without lumps
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add ginger, garlic and stir fry for few seconds
- Add above mix, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt
- Bring the mixture to rolling boil and lower the flame for 5min
How to serve
- Take a portion of noodle in a bowl
- Add all vegetables
- Pour hot soup over it until it submerges
- Add chopped coriander leaves
- Add crispy fried noodles
- Serve hot
