Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup All Purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Butter / வெண்ணெய் - softened
  • 1 cup Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை - fine
  • 2 - 3 tbsp Milk / பால்
  • 1 tbsp Macha Powder - fine

Instructions
 

  • Put all purpose flour, sugar and macha powder in a sieve and sift it until all lumps are gone
  • Take butter in a bowl and press it until soft
  • Add the dry ingredients which were sifted (second step) into the bowl with butter
  • Keep mixing this mixture until the flour starts to become grainy and sticky
  • Add milk little by little and mix thoroughly until it comes to chapathi dough consistency
  • Wrap the dough in saran wrap and keep in the fridge for 2~3 hrs
  • Knead the dough along with little all-purpose flour
  • Roll it out on a smooth surface until it is around 3mm thick
  • Cut the dough to desired shape and size
  • Arrange them on a baking sheet, such that each cookie are about 2~3inch away from each other so that there will be space for it to expand while baking
  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Bake the cookies in the oven for about 7~10 mins
  • Once cookies are slightly golden brown around edges, your cookies are ready to be taken out. Careful not to overbake or char the cookie

Notes

Stored them in an air tight container
Variation
You can use the same recipie for other flavored cookies, such as use vannila instead of macha powder If the flavoring is a liquid reduce the amount of milk used
