Ingredients
  

  • 150 gm Kamal Kakdi
  • 250 gm Onion / வெங்காயம்
  • 150 gm Tomato / தக்காளி
  • 3 – 4 pod Garlic / பூண்டு
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 2 cup Water / தண்ணீர்
  • 2 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
  • 2 tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste

Instructions
 

  • Peel and cut kamal kakdi into circular pieces of ½cm thick
  • Peel and Cut onions into long pieces
  • Cut tomatoes into medium sized pieces
  • Finely chop garlic
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker
  • Add cumin and allow it to splutter
  • Now add finely chopped garlic and sauté until the raw smell goes
  • Add onions and sauté till raw smell goes
  • Add tomatoes and kamal kakdi
  • Add chili powder, garam masala, salt
  • Mix well
  • Pressure cook
  • Garnish with coriander
  • Serve hot with rice or chapatti
