Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Wheat flour (atta)
  • 5 tsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
  • 2 tbsp Ghee / நெய்
  • 2 nos Cardamom, Green / ஏலக்காய் - powdered
  • ½ cup Water / தண்ணீர்
  • 250 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - for frying

Instructions
 

  • Heat water in a pan
  • Dissolve sugar in it
  • Stir until the sugar syrup becomes little thick
  • Add cardamom powder, stir well
  • Add the above syrup, ghee in wheat flour and knead it into a dough
  • Divide into 8-10 equal balls
  • Roll each balls into thin long stripes
  • Roll the stripes randomly so that it looks like knotted stripes or something
  • Fry them in oil (or ghee) until golden brown
  • Serve hot or cold
