Ingredients
  

  • 250 gm Pumpkin / பரங்கிக் காய் - cut into 2~3inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
  • ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு
  • 1 tsp Cooking Alcohol
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Mirin - , cooking alcohol
  • 1 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
  • 1 tbsp Butter / வெண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Simmer pumpkin along with water, salt, butter, sugar, soy sauce, mirin, fresh chili, cooking alcohol until pumpkin is tender
  • Strain the pumpkin, keep aside
  • Bring the remaining liquid into a boil and allow it to boil until it turns syrupy
  • Garnish over the pumpkin

Notes

Serve hot or cold along with rice
