Chinese Yam Roast
Ingredients
- 500 gm Chinese Yam - peeled n sliced
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Mango powder, Dry
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
- 3 - 4 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
Instructions
- Mix Chinese yam, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, amchur, corn flour, little oil, salt, asafoetida well
- Allow it to marinate for 20~30min
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add the marinated Chinese yam, mix well so that oil coats every slice of yam
- Slow cook in low flame, occasionally turn the Chinese yam slices so that yam is cooked and roasted as evenly as possible
- Add little more oil, if required for the yam to roast well
