Ingredients
  

  • 4 nos Banana, raw / வாழைக் காய்
  • 4-5 Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
  • 1 cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • 1 nos Lemon / எலுமிச்சம் பழம்
  • 1 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 20 nos Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு - broken, optional
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி

Instructions
 

  • Steam raw banana for 10~15min in cooker
  • Grind coconut, red chili into a coarse powder
  • Peel off the skin, grate it finely
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard, allow it to splutter
  • Add channa dhal, urad dhal, cashew, fry until golden
  • Add curry leaves, asafoetida, fry a little
  • Add grated banana, salt, mix well
  • Close cook for 5min
  • Squeeze lemon over, mix well
  • Garnish with coriander leaves

Notes

Serve hot with any rice item
