Ingredients
  

  • cup Whole Wheat flour
  • ½ cup Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
  • 1 cup Fenugreek leaves, Fresh / வெந்தயக் கீரை - chopped
  • ½ tsp Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய் - powder, adjust to your spice level
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • ½ tsp Cumin powder / சீரகத் தூள்
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
  • ½ ts[ Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 100 ml Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 4 tbsp Sour Yogurt
  • ½ inch Ginger / இஞ்சி - crushed
  • 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - crushed

Instructions
 

  • Add wheat flour, besan, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, ginger, green chili, fenugreek leaves, mix well
  • Add curd, mix and knead into a dough
  • Make into 1inch balls
  • Roll the balls into 5~6inch thepla
  • Heat a tawa to medium hot
  • Cook thepla over medium hot tawa
  • Flip the thepla once bubbles start showing up
  • Apply oil and spread over thepla
  • Flip the thepla again, apply oil and spread over thepla
  • Once dark brown spots start showing up remove thepla from tawa
  • Repeat the same for all thepla

Notes

Serve methi thepla with yougurt or any pickle
