Ingredients
  

  • 4 nos Gooseberry / நெல்லிக் காய் - de-seeded
  • ½ cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • ½ cup Sour Curd / தயிர் புளித்தது
  • 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 1 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek powder / வெந்தையப் பொடி - optional

Instructions
 

  • Grind gooseberry, coconut, sour curd, green chili into smooth
  • Add water to the desired consistency, it should neither be too thick nor too thin
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard, allow it to splutter
  • Add asafoetida, fry a little
  • Add curry leaves, fry a little
  • Add to the ground mixture, mix well along with salt, fenugreek powder
  • Garnish with coriander leaves

Notes

Serve along with hot rice
