Nellikkaai Arachukalakki
Ingredients
- 4 nos Gooseberry / நெல்லிக் காய் - de-seeded
- ½ cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
- ½ cup Sour Curd / தயிர் புளித்தது
- 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
- 1 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
- 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 tsp Fenugreek powder / வெந்தையப் பொடி - optional
Instructions
- Grind gooseberry, coconut, sour curd, green chili into smooth
- Add water to the desired consistency, it should neither be too thick nor too thin
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add mustard, allow it to splutter
- Add asafoetida, fry a little
- Add curry leaves, fry a little
- Add to the ground mixture, mix well along with salt, fenugreek powder
- Garnish with coriander leaves

Serve along with hot rice
