Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
  • ½ cup Rice flour / அசிரி மாவு
  • 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - cut long
  • 10 gm Ginger / இஞ்சி - cut long
  • 4 - 5 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - cut long
  • 4 - 5 nos Garlic / பூண்டு - cut long
  • 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Saunf / சோம்பு
  • Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - finely chopped , a few
  • Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை - finely chopped , a few
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 pinch Baking powder
  • 10 gm Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு
  • Oil / எண்ணெய் - to fry

Instructions
 

  • Add salt to the onion and mix well and leave it for 10min
  • Soak cashew nuts in water for about 5min
  • Add green chili, ginger, garlic, saunf, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida, cashew nuts and mix well and keep it aside
  • Mix basen, rice flour, red chili powder, and saunf well
  • Add about 2tbsp of hot oil and mix well again [do not add water]
  • Add the onion mix to above and mix well, add little water only if required
  • Fry the mix in medium flame until turns brown in colour
