Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Potato / உருளைக் கிழங்கு
  • 50 gm Fenugreek leaves, Dry / வெந்தய இலை, உலர்ந்தது - Dry – 50gm
  • 10 pod Garlic / பூண்டு
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 2 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 2 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்

Instructions
 

  • Wash, peel skin and cut potato into 1inch pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Temper mustard in it
  • Fry garlic until turns brown
  • Add potatoes and mix well and allow it to cook for 2min
  • Add salt, turmeric and red chili powder and mix well
  • Simmer the flame, close the pan with a lid and cook for 10min, while mixing then intermittently
  • Once the potatoes are cooked add kasoor methi and mix well and cook for 2 min
  • Serve hot with roti or pulka

Notes

Variation
  • You could use fresh methi leaves, add it potatoes are half cooked so that methi leaves could cook well
