Urulai Fry
Ingredients
- 500 gm Baby Potato - boiled and peeled
- 2 tbsp Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
- 1½ tbsp Rice flour / அசிரி மாவு
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 250 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - for frying
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - paste
- 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
- 10 nos Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
Instructions
- Sprinkle salt over boiled potatoes
- Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, oil and mix well
- Marinate for about 15min
- Add besan, rice flour, corn flour and mix well
- Heat oil in a pan for frying
- Dump the potatoes carefully and fry them in low heat until golden brown
- Remove potatoes from oil and keep aside
- Fry fresh curry leaves and garnish over potatoes

Serve along with any rice variety
