Grilled Corn on the Cob
Ingredients
- 4 nos Corn cob - peeled
- 4 nos Garlic / பூண்டு - crushed
- 1 tbsp Lemon zest - grated
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice / எலுமிச்சை சாறு
- 1 tsp Sea salt - adjust to your taste
- 1 tsp Black Pepper / மிளகு - freshly ground
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
Instructions
- Crush garlic, lemon zest, salt, pepper, red chili powder
- Add lemon juice, keep aside
- Put the corn in a large bowl of hot water, let soak for 30 minutes
- Drain, pat dry with kitchen paper
- Pre-heat a barbecue, then cook the corn over medium-hot coals for 5min [as I do not have a barbecue I grilled over a gas oven]
- Turn regularly until the kernels are lightly charred
- Rub the masala paste over the corn kernel using the lemon shell
