Pepper Rice
Ingredients
- 2 cup Basmati Rice / பாசுமதி அரிசி
- 2 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - cut into thick half rings
- 5 tbsp Bell Pepper / குடை மிளகாய் - thick and long cut (red, yellow, green)
- 4 – 5 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய்
- 2 tbsp Cheese - grated
- 10 pod Garlic / பூண்டு
- 3 tbsp Olive oil / ஆலிவ் எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Rock salt / கல்லுப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 tsp Black Pepper / மிளகு
Instructions
- Wash and soak rice for 30min
- Drain water well and fry in 2tbsp of oil in a pan until it is well roasted
- Cook it with 2~3cups of water
- Heat rest of oil in a pan
- Add red chili and roast well
- Add garlic and sauté it for 2 min
- Remove them from pan and pound them along with black pepper and rock salt and keep aside
- Add onion and sauté it for 2 min
- Add bell pepper and sauté it for 1 min
- Add the pounded chili and garlic and mix well
- Add cooked rice and mix well
- Garnish with grated cheese
- Serve hot
