Ingredients
  

  • 3 cup Foxtail millet
  • 1 cup Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 tbsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு

Instructions
 

  • Soak foxtail millet (thinai) and urad dhal with fenugreek in water separately for 6+hours
  • Grind urad dhal, fenugreek mixture into a fine batter, keep asode
  • Grind foxtail millet into a fine batter
  • Mix it with urad dhal batter
  • Allow the batter to ferment for 6+hours
  • Pour the idli batter into idli plates
  • Steam it for 5~6min in high flame and another 3~5min in low flame
  • Serve hot with Idli Milagai Podi and/or chutneys and/or sambar
