Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf Bread
  • Onion / வெங்காயம் - long cut – 3nos
  • Potato / உருளைக் கிழங்கு - finely chopped – 1nos
  • Carrot / காரெட் - finely chopped – 1nos
  • Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - finely chopped – 2~3nos
  • ¼ tsp Green Peas, Fresh / பச்சைப் பட்டாணி
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 1 tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • 1 tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste

Instructions
 

  • Grind bread slices into crumbs
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Temper mustard in it
  • Add chana dhal, urad dhal and fry until golden brown
  • Add green chili, curry leaves and fry well
  • Add onion and sauté well until it turns transparent
  • Add asafoetida, salt and mix well
  • Add potato, carrot, green peas and cook them well, if required add little water
  • Fry the above until all the water is drained
  • Simmer the flame
  • Add bread crumbs and mix well gently, care if the water is not drained well the bread might form into lumps
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with ketchup
