Achari Paneer
Ingredients
- 250 gm Paneer - cut into 1inch cubes
- 1 tsp Coriander seed / தனியா
- ¼ tsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
- ½ tsp Kalonji
- ¼ cup Hung Yogurt
- 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
- 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - paste
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- ¼ tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- ¼ tsp Garam Masala powder
- ¼ tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
- ¼ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 2 tsp Pickle Gravy
- 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 2 sprigs Mint leaves, Fresh / புதீனா இலை
Instructions
- Dry roast coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, kalonji till fragrant, set aside to cool
- Crush the roasted spices into fine powder
- Take hung yogurt in a bowl
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, garam masala powder, pickle gravy, turmeric powder and mix well
- Add a little of the crushed spices to the yogurt and mix well
- Add paneer to the yogurt mixture and mix well so that all the pieces are well coated
- Marinate for 15 minutes
- Heat oil in a non stick pan
- String the paneer cubes onto sticks and place them in the pan
- Cook, rotating the sticks, so that the paneer cubes get evenly cooked all around
- Serve hot
