Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Okra / வெண்டைக் காய் - sliced lengthwise
  • 2 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - sliced legthwise
  • 2 tbsp Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
  • 3 tbsp Sesame Oil / நல்லெண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard and allow it to splutter
  • Add green chili, fry a little
  • Add turmeric powder, asafoetida
  • Add bhindi, mix well
  • Slow cook, allow it to fry, mix them thoroughly every now and then so that all bhindi are cooked/fried evenly
  • Once the bhindi loses the mushy texture, and edges start turning brown add salt, mix well
  • Once bhindi reaches crispy texture, add besan, garam masala, mix well

Notes

Serve hot with rice or roti item
