Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices Bread
  • 100 gm Potato / உருளைக் கிழங்கு - boiled, peeled and smashed
  • 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - chopped
  • ½ cup Mint leaves, Fresh / புதீனா இலை
  • 3 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
  • 1 tp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 2 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
  • 1 tsp Mango powder, Dry
  • 2 tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala powder
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 2 cup Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
  • ½ cup Rice flour / அசிரி மாவு
  • 1 tsp Ajwain seed
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - finely chopped
  • 400 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - to fry
  • 1 nos Carrot / காரெட் - grated (optional)
  • 50 gm Green Peas, Fresh / பச்சைப் பட்டாணி - boiled (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl add smashed potato, salt, ½tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp red chili powder, amchur, pav bhaji masala, onion, fresh coriander leaves, carrot, green peas, mix well and keep aside
  • Grind mint and green chili into a fine paste, add salt and keep it aside
  • In another bowl, add besan, rice flour, remaining turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt ajwain and mix well with water into a bajji batter consistency
  • Take 2 slices of bread spread mint chutney on top of both slices evenly
  • Spread potato masala mix over one bread slice evenly
  • Sandwich them and cut them diagonally
  • Dip the sandwich in besan batter and deep fry just like bajji until golden brown
  • Serve hot with ketchup or any spicy chutney
