Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Green Peas, Fresh / பச்சைப் பட்டாணி
  • 1 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
  • 1 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - finely chopped
  • ½ inch Ginger / இஞ்சி - finely chopped
  • 4 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - finely chopped
  • 1 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - finely chopped
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு
  • ½ tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 1 tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • ½ tsp Chana Dhal / கடலைப் பருப்பு
  • ½ tsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு - split
  • 1 tsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
  • 1 tsp Mango powder, Dry

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add mustard and allow it to splutter
  • Add channa dhal, urad dhal and fry until golden brown
  • Add green chili, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and fry well
  • Add onion and fry until transparent
  • Add turmeric powder, asafoetida mix well
  • Add tomato and cook until mushy
  • Add red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix well
  • Add green peas along with little water and closed cook for 10min until the water dries up
  • Add sugar, amchur and mix well
  • Fill in this masala and make sandwiches
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup
