Heat oil in a pan
Add mustard and allow it to splutter
Add channa dhal, urad dhal and fry until golden brown
Add green chili, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and fry well
Add onion and fry until transparent
Add turmeric powder, asafoetida mix well
Add tomato and cook until mushy
Add red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix well
Add green peas along with little water and closed cook for 10min until the water dries up
Add sugar, amchur and mix well
Fill in this masala and make sandwiches
Serve hot with tomato ketchup
