Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Cauliflower - medium, cut into small flowerets
  • 3 nos Onion / வெங்காயம் - finely chopped
  • 3 nos Tomato / தக்காளி - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic / பூண்டு - finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Coconut extract
  • tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 250 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - to fry
  • ½ tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
  • 3 – 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - long slit

for Grinding

  • tbsp Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • tsp Poppy seeds / கசகசா
  • 1 tbsp Chana Dhal, roasted / பொட்டுக் கடலை
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala powder

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilies and then onions
  • Fry till it turns transparent
  • Add cauliflower pieces
  • Stir for 2 minutes
  • Add red chili powder, mix well
  • Add chopped tomatoes
  • Pour little water and keep closed till cauliflower becomes soft
  • Add ground paste, salt and mix well
  • Cook till the gravy becomes thick
  • Pour thick coconut extract, when it attains boiling point, remove from fire
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
  • Squeeze lime according to taste if you prefer
  • Serve hot
