Cauliflower Manchurian
Ingredients
- 1 nos Cauliflower - cut into small flowerets
- 3 – 4 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- 1 bunch Spring Onion
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி
- 3 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - crushed finely
- 4 – 5 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - chopped
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice / எலுமிச்சை சாறு
- 1 inch Ginger / இஞ்சி - crushed finely
- 3 tbsp Wheat flour (atta)
- 3 tbsp Corn Flour
- 2 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 250 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - for deep frying the cauliflower
- 2 tbsp Butter / வெண்ணெய்
- 2 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள்
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
Instructions
- Make a batter out of the 2tbsp corn flour and all the chapathi flour
- Add crushed ginger, garlic, red chili powder, salt, cumin seeds, lemon juice, ½tsp soy sauce, and coriander leaves
- Dip the cauliflower flowerets in it and fry till golden brown in color
- Drain and keep aside
To make the sauce
- Dissolve the remaining corn flour in 1-2 tbsp of water
- Add the remaining soy sauce, salt, chili sauce to the cornflour mixture and mix well. Keep it aside
- Heat butter in a frying pan and add chopped green chilies, chopped garlic, chopped green onions, and stir-
- fry for about 5~6 minutes
- Add the above-prepared cornflour paste and lower the heat. The sauce will begin to thicken and when it is thick enough, take it from the fire and pour it over the fried flowerets
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
