Chakka Pradaman
Ingredients
- 10 – 12 nos Jackfruit / பலாப் பழம்
- 1 tbsp Coconut / தேங்காய் - sliced
- 1 cup Jaggery / வெல்லம் - grated
- 10 nos Cashew nut / முந்திரிப் பருப்பு
- 10 nos Raisin
- 2 tbsp Ghee / நெய்
- 1 cup Coconut Milk, thick
- 2 cup Coconut Milk, thin
- 1 nos Cardamom, Green / ஏலக்காய் - powdered (optional)
Instructions
- Pressure cook jackfruit with enough water upto 2 whistles
- Grind cooked jackfruit into fine paste
- Dissolve and filter jaggery
- Bring ground jackfruit and dissolved jaggery to a boil
- Allow it to thicken a little
- Add thin coconut milk and bring to a boil
- Add thick coconut milk, mix well and switch off the flame
- Garnish with fried coconut slices, cashew nuts, raisins in ghee
- Serve hot
