Chembu Roast
Ingredients
- 500 gm Chembu - yam, cooked and peeled
- 1 tbsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
- 1 tsp Coriander powder / மல்லித் தூள்
- 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
- 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 5 tbsp Sesame Oil / நல்லெண்ணெய்
- 1 tbsp Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
Instructions
- Mix besan/corn flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt in little oil
- Marinate cooked chembu above mix for 10min
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add the marinated chembu into oil and fry it in medium flame until all sides are roasted
- Serve hot with any rice item
