Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm French Beans, Fresh - chopped
  • 1 cup Moong Dhal / பயத்தம் பருப்பு - cooked
  • 1 cup Coconut, Fresh / தேங்காய் - grated
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • 2 tsp Sambar Masala powder
  • 1 tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 bunch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை

for Grinding

  • 1 tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 5 – 7 nos Red Chili, Dry / வற மிளகாய் - adjust to your spice level
  • 2 tbsp Urad Dhal / உளுத்தம் பருப்பு

Instructions
 

  • Heat little oil in a pan
  • Fry red chili, urad dhal until golden brown for grinding
  • Grind the above along with coconut into a fine paste with as little water as possible, keep aside
  • Boil water in a pan
  • Add french beans and allow it to cook until tender
  • Add turmeric powder, sambar masala powder and mix well
  • Add cooked moong dhal, ground paste and mix well
  • Add water if required to make it little liquid consistency and allow it to boil
  • Heat rest of oil in a pan
  • Temper mustard it it
  • Add urad dhal, red chili, fresh curry leaves and fry well
  • Serve hot with rice items and/or rotis
