Garlic Rice
Ingredients
- 2 cup Basmati Rice / பாசுமதி அரிசி - cooked
- 15 pod Garlic / பூண்டு - finely chopped
- 4 nos Red Chili, Fresh - slit lengthwise
- 1 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- ½ tsp Cinnamon stick / லவங்கப் பட்டை - powdered
- 2 tbsp Ghee / நெய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan
- Add cumin seeds and allow it to splutter
- Sauté garlic until golden brown
- Add fresh red chili and sauté well
- Add garam masala and fry a little
- Mix the above with cooked rice
- Serve hot
Notes
Variation
- Heat additional 1tbsp of ghee in a pan
- Add little cooked rice and allow it fry
- Garnish this fried rice over the rice before serving
