Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Okra / வெண்டைக் காய் - washed, pat dried n cut
  • ¾ cup Curd / தயிர்
  • ½ cup Besan flour / கடலை மாவு
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder / மஞ்சள் தூள்
  • ½ tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
  • 2 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • 2 cup Water / தண்ணீர்
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste

for Tempering

  • 1 tbsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
  • ½ tsp Mustard seed / கடுகு
  • ½ tsp Fenugreek seed / வெந்தயம்
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / பெருங்காயம்
  • 1 binch Curry leaves, Fresh / கருவேப்பிலை
  • 1 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
  • 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a flat pan
  • Sauté bhindi until nicely cooked on all sides
  • Sprinkle a little salt, stir fry for few mins, keep it aside
  • Take curd in a mixing bowl
  • Add besan, whisk until besan is mixed well in curd without lumps
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, water, whisk well
  • Temper with mustard, fenugreek, asafoetida, curry leaves, green chili, ginger into curd mix
  • Bring the kadhi to a boil
  • Add fried bhindi, mix well

Notes

Serve hot kadhi with hot steamed rice
