Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Moong Dhal / பயத்தம் பருப்பு - soaked for 2hrs
  • 1 tbsp Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய் - paste, adjust to your spice level
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice / எலுமிச்சை சாறு
  • 1 tsp Ginger / இஞ்சி - paste
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves, Fresh / கொத்தமல்லி - chopped
  • 1 tsp Fruit Salt
  • 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
  • 500 ml Oil / எண்ணெய் - for frying

Instructions
 

  • Grind moong dal coarsely
  • Add fruit salt (or baking soda) chili paste, ginger paste, lemon juice, coriander leaves, salt, mix well into a thick batter
  • Heat oil in a frying pan in medium flame
  • Fry the batter into small balls, need not be of same size and shape
  • Fry wada till it becomes crispy and golden in color

Notes

Serve hot with Lemon Chutney
