Habanero Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 1 cup Long Grain Rice - half cooked
- 2 tbsp Coconut Milk / தேங்காய்ப் பால் - thick
- ½ nos Habanero - chopped
- 1 nos Cardamom, Green / ஏலக்காய்
- 1 nos Cloves / லவங்கம்
- ½ nos Star Anise
- 1 nos Bay leaf, Dry
- 2 tbsp Green Peas, Fresh / பச்சைப் பட்டாணி
- 1 tsp Shahi Jeera
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 2 tbsp Butter / வெண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan
- Add shahi jeera and allow it to splutter
- Add bay leaf, cardamom, clove, star anise, fry for a min
- Add habanero and fry well
- Add green peas, coconut milk and bring to a boil
- Add rice into it and mix well
- Pre-heat oven to 200°C
- Bake rice in a oven safe dish, add little more ghee if required
- Serve hot with raita
Notes
Note: Be careful, this will be really spicy as Habanero has spice level about 500k+SHU [50times spicier than Jalapeño]
