Kabocha no Nimono
Ingredients
- 250 gm Pumpkin / பரங்கிக் காய் - cut into 2~3inch pieces
- 2 tbsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு
- 1 tsp Cooking Alcohol
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Mirin - , cooking alcohol
- 1 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- 1 tbsp Butter / வெண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Simmer pumpkin along with water, salt, butter, sugar, soy sauce, mirin, fresh chili, cooking alcohol until pumpkin is tender
- Strain the pumpkin, keep aside
- Bring the remaining liquid into a boil and allow it to boil until it turns syrupy
- Garnish over the pumpkin

Serve hot or cold along with rice
