Kabu no Nimono
Kabocha (Pumpkin) no Nimono inspired me to try out Kabu (Turnip) no Nimono with same recipe and it was tasting well.
Ingredients
- 260 gm Turnip leaves - cut
- 2 tbsp Sugar, White / சர்க்கரை, வெள்ளை
- ½ tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
- 1 tsp Cooking Alcohol
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Mirin
- 1 nos Green Chili, Fresh / பச்சை மிளகாய்
- 1 tbsp Butter / வெண்ணெய்
Instructions
- Simmer turnip along with water, salt, butter, sugar, soy sauce, mirin, fresh chili, cooking alcohol until turnip is tender
- Strain the turnip, keep aside
- Add the leaves, cook until tender, strain them, keep aside
- Bring the remaining liquid into a boil and allow it to boil until it turns syrupy
- Garnish over the turnip, leaves
Notes
Serve hot or cold along with rice
