Kamal Kakdi ki Subji
Ingredients
- 150 gm Kamal Kakdi
- 250 gm Onion / வெங்காயம்
- 150 gm Tomato / தக்காளி
- 3 – 4 pod Garlic / பூண்டு
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder / மிளகாய்த் தூள் - adjust to your spice level
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 2 cup Water / தண்ணீர்
- 2 tsp Cumin seed / சீரகம்
- 2 tsp Oil / எண்ணெய்
- 1 tsp Salt / உப்பு - adjust to your taste
Instructions
- Peel and cut kamal kakdi into circular pieces of ½cm thick
- Peel and Cut onions into long pieces
- Cut tomatoes into medium sized pieces
- Finely chop garlic
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker
- Add cumin and allow it to splutter
- Now add finely chopped garlic and sauté until the raw smell goes
- Add onions and sauté till raw smell goes
- Add tomatoes and kamal kakdi
- Add chili powder, garam masala, salt
- Mix well
- Pressure cook
- Garnish with coriander
- Serve hot with rice or chapatti
